University Challenge fans were left stunned on the most recent episode of the show after a player disclosed her very unusual PHD. During Monday’s visit to the BBC studios, host Amol Rajan returned to present the teatime show, which sees eight students from two different UK universities compete against each other in a game of trivia. Player Ingrid Banerjee Marvin joined three of her students from The University of Leeds as they took of four opponents from Edinburgh University.
As each player introduced themselves, they also offered up their subject of study. Ingrid left fans stunned after announcing she was doing a PHD in the experience of marginalised football fans. Viewers immediately took to X to express their feelings about the unusual PHD.
