Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks recounted the heart-breaking moment he discovered his mum, Tracy, near death as a youngster. Although the former TOWIE personality has previously let cameras into his life, he opened up about his upbringing in his recently released memoir, Never Enough. Pete shared the harrowing account in the book as well as the aftermath of the traumatic moment.

At just 12 years old, Pete discovered his mother in their kitchen following an attempt to take her own life. He recalled how he reached out to his grandmother Doreen for assistance before dialling for an ambulance in a desperate bid to save her. “But when I came over to her, it's like she woke up. She looked up at me with eyes full of tears. “'I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry,’ she kept repeating.

I told her it was okay as I panicked trying to work out what to do. “I called Nan. I could barely get the words out to describe what had happened.
