Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has courageously shared her experience with stage three breast cancer, revealing her determination to "go grab life" following a challenging treatment period. Her forthcoming BBC documentary, Strictly Amy: Cancer And Me, promises an in-depth look at her health battle, aspirations for a family and her dedication to dance after being diagnosed last year. After undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy, the 34-year-old dancer said in February that she is now disease-free based on recent medical tests.

She's also preparing for a return to the BBC dance competition for its milestone 20th series, having missed the last season, reports the Mirror . Reflecting on the valuable lessons she'd through her struggle, the Welsh professional dancer stated: "Go grab life. Nikki, a remarkable young lady in her 30s who I connected to online, unfortunately passed away from breast cancer during my treatment last year.

She always said 'Go grab life' and that's what she did. I'm determined to live by her motto."
