Amy Dowden gave an update on her health, following the news back in February she had beaten cancer and received the all-clear. The 34-year-old had been battling stage three breast cancer. After the Strictly Come Dancing star, who is set to make an epic return to the ballroom on the BBC show for its 20th series this year, also suffered from fertility challenges, she is adamant not to let it stop her.
Amy says she is determined to “go grab life”. Her forthcoming hour-long BBC documentary, Strictly Amy: Cancer And Me, shows her battle for her health, her future family, and her love for dance following her breast cancer diagnosis last year after she underwent chemotherapy, and lost her hair. After a mastectomy and chemotherapy, Amy announced in February that she has “no evidence of disease” following tests.
Reflecting on what the experience has taught her, the Welsh professional dancer said: “Go grab life.
