BBC Strictly's return date has been revealed - and fans can already apply for tickets. It follows months of drama for the much-loved show in which Amanda Abbington accused dancer, Giovanni Pernice, of being 'cruel' and 'abusive' during training, which he denies. Many Strictly fans worried if the show would be axed amid the controversy, but its return date has now been confirmed as tickets are up for grabs.

The BBC 's website states: " Strictly Come Dancing is back! The stunning 22 series returns, bringing glamour and show stopping dancing back to Saturday nights on BBC One. 'Hosted by the glamorous Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, alongside judges, Shirley Ballas , Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, the show will once again come live from Elstree Studios, with a one-off special from the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool." The dates of the shows, which fans can snap up tickets for are then listed as follows: Elstree Studios: September, 21 and 28, October, 5, 12, 19, 26, November, 2, 9, 23, 30 and December 7 and 14.
