One of Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancers who has been left without a celebrity dance partner this year has spoken out for the first time. The sparkly BBC One dance contest returned with a brand new series on Saturday night (September 14) with the pre-recorded launch show. Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman officially kicked off proceedings as they returned to the iconic ballroom.

And it was all about revealing which celebrity contestants had been paired with which of the talented professional dancers ahead of the first live show this Saturday (September 21). But they will still very much be part of the series - and the 'Strictly Family' - and will appear in various dancers throughout the upcoming season.

Lauren was the only one of the three to speak about Strictly's return on social media on the night itself as she shared a string of snaps from the recording of the bright and beautiful opening number. But now, Carlos has acknowledged the messages of love and support he has received as his different role on this year's series was uncovered, which comes after he impressed in the ballroom alongside Irish presenter Angela Scalan last year.
