Kai Widdrington has exposed his own blunder as he was seen back in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom over the weekend. The professional dancer was on hand to support his colleagues after he wasn't given a celebrity dance partner this year. Fans of the BBC One dance contest were thrilled when the show returned with its pre-recorded launch show earlier this month before the first live show on Saturday night (September 21) in which viewers saw all 15 of the new Strictly couples perform together for the first time.

But Kai won't be competing this year after not being given a celebrity dance partner. He wasn't alone as fellow pro dancers Lauren Oakley and Carlos Gu also missed out on being part of the main competition this year. Ahead of the first live show, Kai took to Instagram as he shared a promo snap of himself all suited and booted ready for Strictly 2024 to get underway. Alongside the beaming photo, the 29-year-old dancer wrote to his fans and followers: "Looking forward to another FABULOUS season of @bbcstrictly strictly this year. "Wishing all my fellow pros and their partners all the very best.
