Strictly Come Dancing have announced the third star to take to the dancefloor. Today, a new name was announced for the new series - with JB Gill being confirmed to join the show. Speaking about signing up for the new series, he said: "I did the Christmas special - it was great fun! It was the most similar dance to what I've done in JLS.

A lot of the ballroom styles are very alien to me - I didn't do those dances growing up. I am not a trained dancer." JB knows many people who have been on the show - including his bandmate Aston Merrygold.

Assuring him he would be fine, Aston gave him some tips but the pair have yet to have a full on catch up about doing the show. Speaking about the new series, JB shared: "I danced in the Strictly Christmas special over a decade ago and loved it, so when I got the call to join Strictly this year, it was an immediate yes from me. I’m raring to go to and looking forward to showing off some new skills to the JLS boys.

From muddy wellies on the fields of my farm to sequins and Glitterballs - I’m here to embrace it all!" Earlier today, Chris McCausland was confirmed as the first official contestant - after Olympic swimmer Tom Dean self-confirmed. Speaking on the show today, he said: "If anybody out there is thinking - How the hell is he going to do that? - then rest assured that I am thinking exactly the same thing. I don't dance, I haven't danced, I can't dance, I can't see the dancing I will have to do.
