BBC radio presenter Elise Evans shared a sad farewell with her fans on social media after five years on BBC Birmingham and Black Country radio. The loved presenter, 34, who has interviewed many stars including One Direction's Niall Horan and new mum Fleur East , is set to hang up her mic on August 25. As yet, it remains unknown as to where she is heading to, but she was keen to thank her fans for their continued loyalty over the years on air.

Taking to X, she wrote: "I'm leaving @bbcwm. What a mad 5 years! Highs and lows but got to work with some lovely folk and had some brill experiences. Time for some new adventures.

Last show is 25th August and we're going out with a BANG! More info coming soon! For now, Radio WM - thnx 4 the memories x.(sic)." She also shared snaps of her time on the shows with celebrities.

And fellow presenter Rakeem Omar was keen to share his love for Elise. He wrote: "In the same 5 years I've had, I've watched you achieve so many amazing things there has never been anyone like you Elise and there never will be." And a PR added: "Thank you for being so generous with the many, many guests I've pushed in your direction! Always appreciate your support.

Look forward to seeing what you do next. Delighted that I will see you on the 25th!" One of Elise's many followers commented on their sadness over her departure and wrote: "Aw..
