The hotly-anticipated first episode saw teams the Al Frescans and the Midlanders go head to head in the opening heat.

All seemed to be going well until the quizzers reached the third round and had to take on the Connecting Wall. The challenge features 16 jumbled-up clues which need to be sorted into four connected groups within two and a half minutes. The Al Frescans successfully deciphered all four groups and got a maximum of 10 points.
