BBC Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones couldn't help but rib his co-star and friend Dr Xand as he returned to the programme on Tuesday, July 16. The Welsh host opened the show alongside Helen Skelton and introduced JJ Chalmers to viewers, who was making an appearance on Morning Live to talk all things Olympics. The subject of sport led Gethin to seamlessly direct his attention to Dr Xand, who he claimed had made some errors during the episode that had aired on Monday, July 15, when Gethin was absent from the show.
The 46-year-old said to JJ: "You don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy the Olympics either, people just get behind it, don't they? I'm glad you're here as a sports expert though, unfortunately, yesterday I wasn't here to guide my friend Xand when he started talking about the summer of sport...

Gethin continued: "He said 'oh we've got the tour', nobody knew what that meant, he meant the Tour de France, then he talked about the Scottish Open this weekend, which you now know was last weekend, and it's the Open this weekend in Scotland." "In his defense, it was golf last week and this week," Helen interjected, as Gethin jokingly replied: "I just wasn't there to guide you.
" Xand then said: "It was a Scot.
