BBC Morning Live viewers were left thinking the worst after Gethin Jones took to Instagram with an announcement. The Welsh presenter confirmed the much-loved breakfast show was coming off air for the summer last week, but in a fresh post many thought the host was also leaving the programme for good. In a joint post with the official BBC Morning Live Instagram account, Gethin appeared in a melodramatic video where he told viewers he was going to miss them as a song played in the background with the lyrics "It's so hard to say goodbye.

" In the clip, Gethin could be seen walking around looking melancholy as he reminisced from the "sofa he presented," and touched the floor where he "played with Dolly," the studio's beloved dog. He then walked to the dressing room where they made him "look beautiful," before he pretended to cry into a Welsh flag in his dressing room.

The dramatic video came to an abrupt end though as the tone changed and Gethin jumped into the camera's view, revealing it was all "okay," as he and the team would be returning after the summer break. Confirming Morning Live would be off-air for five weeks, he said: "But it's okay because we will.
