Michelle Collins speaks about iconic EastEnders role EastEnders aficionados are up in arms, branding Cindy Beale's latest fling with former step-son Junior Knight as "disgusting" and clamouring for an immediate halt to the affair. Portrayed by Michelle Collins, Cindy has found herself in a torrid relationship with Junior (Micah Balfour) despite her seemingly unstable marriage to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). What began as a fling appears to have exploded into a full-scale secret romance, all while concealing it from Cindy's previous spouse George Knight, brought to life by Colin Salmon, who is also Junior's dad.
With Ian Beale off in America visiting Ben Mitchell, responsibility over Beale's Eels falls into Cindy's hands. However, Cindy is preoccupied with concocting excuses to rendezvous with her new beau. When Peter Beale (Thomas Law) steps out to meet suppliers for the pie shop, Cindy sees the opportunity to elevate Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell) to manager so she can sneak away and meet Junior.
