BBC Breakfast ’s Naga Munchetty was not too impressed over a certain news story - so much so that she was forced to interrupt her co-star. The BBC show returned to screens on Saturday (August 17) - with Naga and Charlie Stayt back at the helm. However, things took an awkward turn when Charlie spoke about a rather harrowing news story.

“This is a story from Floria, and apparently it’s reminiscent of a scene from the movie, The Meg, involving a Yorkshire Terrier,” Charlie shared, referring to the film that follows a a group of people attacked by a shark. Charlie added:”What happened was, Maddie, a nine-year-old Yorkshire terrier, was swimming off her owner’s boat, and Maddie disappeared and dropped below the surface.” However, Naga started squirming, interrupted Charlie, and put her hand up to him.

She said: “Wait a minute, is this going to be a bad story?” Ignoring Maya, Charlie continued: “Maddie was dropped below the surface in what is a shake attack.” Again, a worried Naga then chimed in and asked: “Is this a bad story so far?!” Charlie then explained how to the dog managed to “pop back up.” He continued: “The vets who looked at her, thought she had been hit by the propeller initially, because she was bleeding.

“But in fact what it was, bites consist with a shark attack,” Charlie added. He went on: "And they think, the vet experts, think Maddie had been dragged under beneath the surface, with bites on her rear, breaking her pelvis in thre.
