Carol is quite private about her love life and has never shared the reason why she got a divorce. However, in the classiest way possible, she has now revealed that she is happier with her new hubby. The BBC Breakfast star told the Times: "Love is lovelier the second time around.
No disrespect to my first husband, but this is better." It is unclear exactly when Carol met her current partner but they have been together since at least June 2021. She revealed that they had gotten engaged in May last year while live on the Chelsea Flower Show.
Carol married Steve during an intimate ceremony in Cliveden House on December 27. She has spoken about the "sliding doors moment" when she met him.
