On Tuesday's instalment of BBC Breakfast, hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell were speaking about changes happening at the National Grid. The duo informed viewers that the system which operates it has now been brought under public ownership. Speaking to their co-star Justin Rowlatt who was at the control centre live, he gave people watching more information on the topic.
He said: "This is quite unusual to be given permission to come into this room. "You come through an airlock, the location is top secret, it is bomb proof. This place is a bit of critical national infrastructure because it runs the entire electricity system for the UK However, it wasn't long before people watching noticed a huge blunder made by the broadcaster, as the "secret" location was displayed on-screen.
One person said: "‘The location is top secret’ Is it though? #BBCBreakfast" Someone else commented: "Top secret location...
Live in Wokingham" "Funny how BBC Breakfast says they are at a top-secret location yet it says live from Wokingham at the top of my screen," wrote another. Another added: "“Secret location [wink emoji]" Elsewhere during the show, viewers saw Jon and sports correspondent John Watson share a funny moment when speaking about showing off their vocal skills. John played a pre-recorded clip of England cricket captain Heather Knight mentioning a singalong with Nat Sciver while abroad, which prompted an idea in his head.
He commented: "I think I'd be singing if I was leaving this weather .
