BBC Breakfast host Jon Kay halted himself on Tuesday's show as he asked co-star Sally Nugent whether he was allowed to discuss a topic live on air. During the latest instalment, Jon, 54, and Sally, 53, had a conversation about Worcestershire Sauce, which soon went onto cocktails. Asked whether he enjoys the iconic condiment, Jon said: "I do, in a Bloody Mary!" However, a panicked Jon then asked: "Am I even allowed to say that at this time of the morning?" with Sally reassuring her co-star with: "You are and you just did! You’re definitely allowed.

" It comes as Jon was left scratching his head during a segment last week. The episode at the time featured a piece about luxury advent calendars, some of which were priced at an eye-watering £640. Jon couldn't believe that people would shell out such a sum, with co-host Sally observing: "Jon can barely look, look at Jon's face" to which he responded: "I can't believe this! I cannot believe this, people saying they pay £40 even just seems an extraordinary amount of money.

" In a light-hearted moment, Jon told Sally: "I just told Sally I'll make her one just like you used to make in the old days" to which Sally retorted: "I already know, I'm going to get you the beard grooming one." However, Jon was left further puzzled by the idea of a beard grooming advent calendar, asking: "I have to do that for 24 days? How much beard grooming can you take!"
