It comes as the BBC reboot of the game show ended in March this year, seeing Marie-Louise Nicholson and Finlay Anderson crowned the winners. But now some of the biggest TV personalities will have their speed, strength and endurance tested when they take on the “superhuman” Gladiators in a series of challenges.

The 55-year-old took up endurance sport after competing in a Christmas cycling challenge for the BBC in 2012 and has gone on to compete internationally for the GB triathlon team in her age group. Comedian and Survivor presenter Dommett revealed it had been a dream of his to get on the show’s travel.
