It's now been claimed Italian authorities are “investigating shipwreck and multiple counts of culpable manslaughter” following the tragedy on Monday. The Prosecutor's Office of Termini Imerese, led by Ambrogio Cartosio, is working to find out why the luxury vessel capsized off the coast of Porticello near Palermo. Palermo Today said investigators will examine videos and photos from homes close to the area, as well as surveillance cameras.

Prosecutors earlier interviewed yacht captain James Cutfield, 53. It was reported he was questioned at great length about what happened the day of the incident. He told them it happened in a "few minutes", reports the Mirror .
