All eyes are on Kenya, as music enthusiasts converge on the country for the highly anticipated Africa Arts Entertainments Awards (AAEA), which not only celebrates individual achievements but also serves as a platform to showcase the collective brilliance of African music. As a testament to the continent’s rich musical heritage and its impact on the global stage, the awards celebrates the artistry and success of the brightest stars of African music including Nigerian music superstars, Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, who are locking horns for the prized recognitions, as they have received the highest nominations for this year’s edition of the awards. The Africa Arts Entertainments Awards acknowledges and celebrates the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of talented music artistes from across the African continent.

Some categories of the award include Best Continental Male Artiste, Continental Artiste of the Year, Continental Album/EP of the Year, Best Continental Int’l Feature, Best Continental Afro RnB Hit, and Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit, among others. Davido leads the pack as he has been nominated in 12 categories. He is followed by Burna Boy with 10 nominations, while Wizkid was nominated in seven categories.

The three artistes are competing in several categories, including the ‘Best Continental Male Artiste’ and the ‘Continental Artiste of the Year’. Wizkid has also been nominated for the Continental Album/EP of the Year award for his proje.
