Barcelona will try to extend their 100% winning start to the new La Liga season against Getafe on Wednesday. The visitors are in the relegation zone at present while the Catalan giants are four points clear at the summit. Hansi Flick saw his side thump Villarreal 5-1 over the weekend while Jose Bordalas' men drew with Leganes thanks to a Borja Mayoral penalty.

The Blaugrana got over their UEFA Champions League disappointment against Monaco with that win over Villarreal thanks to two goals apiece from Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha while Pablo Torre also scored. However, it came at the cost of a serious injury to goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen which has taken the shine off of the continued unbeaten run in La Liga. Barca are back in Catalonia after three consecutive away games and they will be keen to protect their four-point lead over bitter rivals Real Madrid at the summit.

With just two points dropped from 10 home games, a six-game winning run against Getafe at home will keep the hosts confident ahead of this one. Only four teams can say that they have conceded fewer goals than the Azulones this season but the issue is three goals scored across six games which has contributed towards an 11-game winless run. A point from this game would be Getafe's first away at Barca since early 2018.
