WOLCOTT – Barbara (Crapser) Lindquist, 73, of Wolcott, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, following a four-year courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born on Feb.
18, 1951 in Southington, daughter to the late Ernest and Rachel (Olsen) Crapser. Growing up in Bristol, she attended local schools and graduated from Bristol Eastern High School. Barbara shared a love story that began in a moment of chance, as she met the love of her life, Randall, while he was at work.
From that serendipitous encounter blossomed a deep, enduring love that would shape their lives together. Their bond endured even through the challenges of distance, as Randy served in the U.S.
Army, with Barbara faithfully staying connected through letters. In 1971, they sealed their commitment in marriage and embarked on the journey of building a family, filled with joy, love, and cherished memories. During her children’s formative years, Barbara dedicated herself to nurturing her family as a loving stay-at-home mom.
In addition to her maternal role, she also found joy in selling Tupperware products, bringing both fun and functionality to households in her community. As her children grew older, Barbara found fulfillment in serving the community through her work within the Wolcott Public Schools District. From her days as a caring lunch lady at Frisbie Elementary School to her role as a beloved parae.
