Pune: Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar 's visit to lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs300 crore on Monday has landed in a controversy after former BJP MLA from Wadgaon Sheri Jagdish Mulik objected to the banners at the event without photographs of chief minister Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis . Mulik said, "Are only BJP, Shiv Sena and RPI (A) to follow the alliance dharma and not others?" On August 18, local BJP leaders in Junnar waved black flags at Ajit Pawar during his visit to Jan Sanman Yatra after no photos of Shinde and Fadnavis were put up on the banners installed by local NCP MLA Atul Benke for a meeting with the administrative officers on tourism. Ajit Pawar on Monday said it had been decided between the three parties of the Mahayuti alliance that for any event organised for such development projects, only photos of local representatives of the area, the minister of the department concerned, and the person who was invited to inaugurate it should be there.

"There is no need to give importance to such issues because this decision has been taken by the CM and both deputy chief ministers," he said, adding that names of other Mahayuti leaders would be added when the projects were ready for inauguration.
