According to HYBE, not providing Bang with a base salary was in compliance with their “Pay for Performance” . The bonus awarded to Bang Si Hyuk was decided upon by a Compensation Committee, which led to an all-encompassing evaluation of Bang Si Hyuk’s performance and contributions to HYBE in 2023. The board approved the amount in 2024.
In its financial report, HYBE noted that Bang Si Hyuk’s successful strategies to advance key projects of the company, enhance its brand value, and lead it through dynamic changes made him eligible for handsome compensation. Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2024, HYBE recorded its highest quarterly revenue ever, posting ₩641 billion KRW (about $474 million USD) in sales. At the semi-annual level, the total revenue recorded by HYBE amounted to ₩1.
