The talented modding scene for Baldur’s Gate 3 has stunned again with newly updated mod tools offering new levels of creativity. After cracking the official mod tools to allow proper level creation, new Baldur’s Gate 3 mod tools now allow fans to create cinematics, quests, dialogue and more for the massive RPG. New Baldur’s Gate 3 mod tools Released on September 19, the new Moonglasses BG3 Unlocking Tool allows players to make full use of Larian’s game editor.
As well as including everything the base mod tools have, modders can now create entire levels, dialogue, cinematic timelines, combat encounters and more. The mod tools finally allow modders to easily craft new quests for the RPG with their own voiced dialogue and cutscenes. While Patch 7 removed players’ ability to easily play custom campaigns , these expanded mod tools will make them much easier to create.
To use the expanded mod tools, players will have to download them from Nexus Mods . As a standalone BG3 toolkit extender, the tools also require a completely fresh installation of the Baldur’s Gate 3 toolkit via Steam. Using another modified toolkit may cause the tools to crash.
The modder is keen to note that these new unlocked mod tools don’t contain any assets owned by Larian or Dungeons & Dragons creators Wizards of the Coast.
