Earlier, during the initial stages, Sanjoy Roy had told a Kolkata Court that he was being “framed”.

When the court asked for his approval for the polygraph test, Sanjoy Roy broke down in the court and claimed that he had not “committed a crime”. “The polygraph test would prove my innocence,” Roy had reportedly said in the court. A team of polygraph specialists was sent off to Kolkata from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in New Delhi to conduct the test.
