FITCHBURG — SnowGo | MowGo is thrilled to announce the Third Annual Community Cuts Event from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept.

1, at Green Street Park. Founded by Christian Lopez, CEO of SnowGo | MowGo, this event emerged from the Community Leadership Institute at the North Central Chamber and is designed to provide free haircuts to community members, helping them start the summer and the school year with confidence. Lopez, a visionary leader with a deep commitment to community service, established Community Cuts as a way to give back to the community that has supported SnowGo | MowGo.

“There’s no better way to kick off the summer or go back to school than with a fresh haircut,” said Lopez. “My partner, Raff, and I believe in the power of community and the impact that a small gesture can have on an individual’s self-esteem and confidence.” This year’s event is made possible through the collaborative efforts of SnowGo | MowGo, Community Cuts, and the dedicated support from Raffael DeFeo, Amanda Melo, Ama Baker from Fitchburg Parks and Recreation, and a talented group of local barbers and hairstylists.

“Their combined passion and expertise have been instrumental in making this event a success year after year,” Lopez said. The Community Cuts event brings together local barbers and stylists who generously donate their time and skills to provide fresh haircuts to attendees, including Double Edge Barbershop in Fitchburg and Elite Barbershop & Beauty Studio in Leo.
