A surprising twist on season 21 of The Bachelorette is now facing repercussions. Jenn Tran and her remaining suitors were thrown for a loop on episode four when Tran’s ex Matthew flew all the way to New Zealand without warning to try to win her back . Meanwhile, Tran herself is deeply conflicted about how to handle the situation. “I have one of the biggest decisions that I’ve had to make yet, and I have to follow my own journey,” she said. “As much as I can see a future at the end of this, I also see a future where I end up alone,” she added through tears.

When Matthew arrived unannounced in New Zealand, he told Tran that “a part of us will always be in love,” before adding that he is ready to get engaged. However, Tran said that she was not entirely convinced by Matthew’s grand gesture. "I'm so confused about what his intentions are," she later told the cameras.
