NEW DELHI: The Mumbai crime branch arrested Amit Hisamsing Kumar , 29, on Monday in connection with the Baba Siddique firing case, raising the total number of arrests to 11. Kumar, a resident of Nathwan Patti near Goga Madi Temple in Haryana, was apprehended on October 23, 2024. The arrest follows a comprehensive investigation registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.

Omsingh was remanded to police custody until October 26, with public prosecutor Randdhir Yelaave stating that he provided shelter to the shooters and facilitated their transport of weapons. Yelaave revealed that the gang supplied three firearms—a Turkish pistol, an Australian pistol, and a country-made weapon—to the shooters responsible for the assassination. Investigations are ongoing to trace the financial aspects of the crime and the sources of the weapons.
