Sonakshi and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23 in a simple ceremony held at Sonakshi’s house in Mumbai, attended by the couple’s relatives and friends. In a recent interview, Zaheer Iqbal recalled the memorable moments of his wedding and mentioned that the Kanyadan was delayed by 15 minutes on the wedding day.
“During the Kanyadan, as soon as I held Sonakshi’s hand and the pandit started reciting mantras, I heard the Azaan being called, and then the Kanyadan was paused.” According to Zaheer Iqbal, “During those 15 minutes and hearing the sound of the Azaan at the time of Kanyadan, I felt as if nature intended it that way. It was the most beautiful moment of the wedding for me.
