Axe throwing, archery and birds of prey will be just a few of the attractions at a festival. The Logie Timber Festival is taking place on September 7 and 8 on the Logie Estate, near Forres. Visitors will be able to take part in axe throwing sessions with Wooden Tom and archery lessons with Bow Hunter Archery, as well as trying their hand at green woodworking with Aaron Sterritt.

Speyside Falconry will be at the event with birds of prey, alongside The Great Glen Ferret Association, who will also be allowing people to “get up close and personal with wildlife”. Local food vendors such as Macone’s Ices, Spruce and Stag and Heilan Brew Coffee will also be at the festival providing food and drink. The festival, founded in 2019 by Logie Timber and Logie Estate, aims to celebrate the woodlands and the environment of the local area.

The event promotes local talent and environmental awareness. Logie Timber founder Mark Councill said: “The 2024 Logie Timber Festival is set to be even bigger and better than our last. “There really is something for everyone to enjoy.
