AXED Emmerdale actor Sam Hall has finally confirmed his exit as his final scenes as Samson Dingle aired. The actor - who played troubled Samson in the ITV soap - shared an emotional goodbye with fans after his exit scenes played out. The Sun had exclusively revealed Sam had been axed as Samson earlier this year.
Viewers watched last night as Samson was sentenced to four years in prison for violently attacking thug Josh. In a video on the soap’s Instagram page, Sam said: “So as you’ve seen Samson has now left the village. “It’s been a great storyline so I’d like to thank everyone who’s been with me, cast and crew, over the last 15 years.

“I’m really sorry I let you down dad, I’ve been a rubbish son, haven’t I?” he said to his dad in prison. Sam tried to reassure him, telling him he was proud of him but added: “I just wish you weren’t going away for so long.
