The auction was announced by Stockholm’s AuktionsVerk, and is set to go live on October 1. The items being auctioned include the late musician’s personal belongings, clothings and his musical instruments other items.

A full list of 267 items going on auction will be unveiled on September 6 via the AuktionsVerk website . All proceeds from the auction will go to the Tim Bergling foundation, which was founded after the musician’s death in 2018. A post shared by Stockholms Auktionsverk (@stockholmsauktionsverk) According to a Billboard report , the auction will be in conjunction with an upcoming photobook, Avicii: The life and music of Tim Bergling , which has yet to receive a release date yet.

Avicii – real name Tim Bergling – took his own life while on holiday in Muscat, Oman in April 2018. He was 28. In the days after his passing, his family issued a statement that appeared to confirm that he had taken his own life .

“Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions,” they wrote. “An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress. When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most �.
