Prayagraj : Amidst tight security arrangements, scores of seers and saints associated with Avahan Akhara on Sunday took out Chhavani Pravesh Yatra with full pomp and show. As the seers and saints started entering the Kumbh Mela campus to the beats of drums, devotees welcomed and greeted them. The procession started from the newly constructed Akhara Bhawan, Madauka Ashram and passed through the main streets of the city, including the old Reewa route, Dandi trisection, new Reewa route, Leprosy crossing, new Yamuna bridge, Triveni Marg and Fort Road crossing and entered the Akhara premises on the mela campus.

The district traffic police authorities diverted the route in view of Chhavani Pravesh and restricted vehicular movement. Notably, traffic police issued an advisory for commuters to avoid Chhavani Pravesh routes. Interestingly, riding on horses, chariots and carriages, scores of saints and seers participated in the procession to enter the cantonment (Chhavani) with the sound of drums and the victory sound of conches.

A huge crowd of devotees also gathered on both sides of the road to see the wonderful appearance and splendour of the saints. On the way, the saints and sages walked while showing their skills with spears, tridents, and swords. Stay updated with the latest news on Times of India .
