And it appears to be working.

Skyscanner's research found that those of us who have stopped buying takeaway lattes and cutting back in other places have saved $320 each month on average (or more than $3,800 a year). Younger generations are even better at it: Gen Z are saving around $370 per month. Two months of saving just $7 a day can get you a flight from Melbourne to Singapore. If you can stick it out, four months of saving sacrifices could even get you to Europe, with Skyscanner showing $1423 flights from Melbourne to Greece, or $1198 flights from Brisbane to Italy.
