The night of nights for Australian music is almost here and the nominees have been unveiled. or signup to continue reading The ARIA Awards will be held on Wednesday, 20 November, at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and across 29 categories, there is something for everyone. Sydney guitar-pop duo Royel Otis took out the 2024 title for most nominations for their album with eight nominations under their belt.

Formed in 2019, the band, made up of Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic, was named one of the 25 artists to watch this year by the Grammys. The duo are up for Album Of The Year, Best Group, Best Independent Release, Best Rock Album, Best Australian Live Act and Song of the Year, while their producer Chris Collins is up for Best Engineered Release and Best Produced Release. Taking to social media, the band said they were "psyched".

"We thought that last year was our only shot at the ARIA's with the nomination for Breakthrough Artist, so to receive eight this year is incredible, we are psyched!" they said. The duo were closely followed by two-time ARIA award winner Dom Dolla, who has six nominations. Born in the Philippines, the Australian house music producer is popular amongst the nation's festival scene and his 2023 hit has more than 90,000 streams on Spotify.
