Disney already has a lot in the pipeline for Moana , but its star Auli’I Cravalho is hinting at plans for even more! On Friday night (August 9), the 23-year-old actress, who voices the titular character in the movies, took the stage at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to perform a new song from the forthcoming sequel. We also got a new trailer! During a panel on Saturday, she reflected on the movie’s premiere and got fans thinking about future stories with a cryptic comment. Keep reading to find out more.

She continued, telling fans how excited she was for them to watch Moana 2 in November 2024. Auli’i teased, “And stay tuned. We’re only getting started.
” At the moment, there are not plans for a third animated movie just yet. However, a live-action rendition of the first movie is also in the works. Franchise star Dwayne Johnson recently provided an update .
