Ascension Episcopal offensive leaders include: Preston Peebles (13), 53 Charlie Milam (53), Andre Abshire (1) ,Andrew McCormick (7), Hayes Beaulieu (17) and Branon Mitchell (16). Ascension Episcopal will use two quarterbacks who may be short on varsity snaps at the position but will promise excitement with their legs, arm, and their versatility, as both will play other positions. Branon Mitchell started at receiver as a sophomore and caught four passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns in the last game of the regular season.

The other quarterback, DJ Kelly, will be a sophomore. "They're both dynamic," Blue Gators coach Stephen Hearen said. "Branon grew up a javelin thrower.

He has a strong arm. DJ has a strong arm, too. We're going to use both.

When one isn't playing quarterback, he'll be in other spots." Three of four starting linebackers return, including leading tackler Luke Curry. The fourth spot belongs to a veteran, too.

Christian Singleton slides down to linebacker after starting in the secondary last year. Special teams, as always, is strong with kicker Andrew McCormick and punter/kicker Cole Pesson. McCormick, who is rated a 4.

5 star kicker, caught five passes for 103 yards in a game last year. Pesson, a four star punter/kicker, can hit a field goal from nearly 60 yards. "I think we have a good group of returning starters that bring some experience on Friday nights," Hearen said.
