Sunday, September 22, 2024 Aryan Festival 2024 showcased Aryan Valley’s unique cultural heritage in Lchangra Gakone Village, with vibrant performances and key dignitaries honoring the event. The Aryan Festival 2024 was held on Saturday at Lchangra Gakone village in the scenic Aryan Valley, organized by the Tourism and Culture Department. Er Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor of LAHDC Kargil, graced the event as the chief guest, while the guest of honor was Regzin Gurmath, a nominated councilor.

Assistant Director of Tourism, Rahmatullah Bhat, warmly welcomed the gathering, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, tourists, artists, and local villagers for their participation. He emphasized the department’s ongoing efforts to promote Aryan Valley as a vibrant tourist destination through cultural events like this. Executive Councilor Tashi praised the people of Aryan Valley for their dedication to the festival and highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Aryan culture.

He encouraged both domestic and international tourists to become cultural ambassadors, helping spread the rich heritage of Aryan culture beyond Ladakh. He also directed the Tourism Department to improve the festival’s visibility in the future, aiming to draw more tourists. Tashi commended the exceptional performances by local artists and reaffirmed the festival’s goal to safeguard the valley’s unique cultural legacy.
