Fashionistas can enjoy an innovative fashion show and support a good cause at the Inclusive Catwalk: All Abilities Fashion Show at 6 p.m. Oct.
10 at Fashion Bar on the third floor of Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago.
It’s presented by the iCan Dream Center, an alternative school in Tinley Park that partners with area public schools to serve youths with learning disabilities. Specialized programs for high school and college students provide vocational readiness, therapeutic services and life skills training. It also offers Little Dreamers, an therapeutic early childhood program in Tinley Park.
Attendees can enjoy an inspiring night of entertainment, fashion and stories from youths who participate in the center’s program. A reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails is set for 6 yo 7 p.m, with the fashion show following at 7 p.
m. Dinner stations, cocktails and dancing take place 8:30 to 10 p.m.
A silent auction also is planned. Creativity is encouraged when it comes to attire, with anything from Met Gala-inspired looks to unique shoes, one-trend dresses, power suits and bold prints. Tickets cost $150 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the center’s programs.
