Wednesday, February 5, 2025 Qatar’s Years of Culture initiative has named the Argentine Republic and the Republic of Chile as its partner countries for 2025, highlighting their deep-rooted Arab heritage shaped by centuries of migration and cultural exchange. Both nations also share a strong passion for sports. The 2025 collaborations will celebrate these cultural connections—spanning cuisine, language, and more—while fostering new partnerships in key areas such as cultural preservation, creative industries, social development, and innovation.
Established 13 years ago by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, this annual global exchange strengthens ties between Qatar and other nations through long-term cultural partnerships based on mutual respect and understanding. The upcoming program will feature performances, exhibitions, sporting and culinary events, photography projects, residency initiatives, volunteer missions, and more.
