With electric vehicles (EV) becoming more popular in recent years, the need for charging points has increased. If you drive an EV, it’s useful to know where the local charging points are, especially if you don’t have your own at home. Bolton has electric vehicle charging points in a variety of locations but are there enough to meet demand? We asked Bolton News readers if they believe Bolton has enough charging points for electric vehicle owners in the town and where the best are located – here’s what they said.

Are there enough EV charging points in Bolton? The responses were mixed with some saying there aren't enough and others recommending their favourites. Some locals recommended some of Bolton’s electric vehicle charging points with one saying: “Tesco Farnworth always quiet and one’s free”. Another shared: “Sainsbury’s services on Manchester Road” while Tesco in Kearsley was also recommended by a local.

One local said: “Nowhere has anywhere near enough and wont have. Its totally unpractical, unworkable and unaffordable for tens of millions of people. A pipe dream, making a few people a lot of money.
