Adorable Orlaith McCluskey was the face of a commercial for the company’s caramel wafers and stars in two adverts for leading high street fashion retailer M&Co. The six-year-old screen star was also modelling for German fashion chain S.Oliver.
But she would be best-known for the Tunnock’s role as the inquisitive youngster asking her on-screen dad some very awkward questions while enjoying a caramel wafer. Proud mum Kirsten, 27, said: “The Tunnock’s one is pretty special because it’s such a big Scottish brand. “She was on TV all last week, which was fantastic.
“There are currently three TV adverts on the go at the same time and it’s great for her and the family.” The McCluskey family used to stay in South Street in Greenock but had moved to Motherwell. However, there was still a strong family connection back home in Inverclyde, including Orlaith’s grandfather Eddie McCluskey, from Port Glasgow, and they were all thrilled with their new screen star.
Kirsten said: “We have a lot of family from Port Glasgow who we visit all the time. “Orlaith’s the wee apple of her grandad’s eye. He’s been ‘phoning round all the family making sure they watch out for her.
