The Arch Manning Era began a little bit earlier than people expected at Texas. When Quinn Ewers went down with an injury in the Longhorns' second game of the season, Manning stepped into the void. Over the last two games--the first starts of his career--the former five-star recruit has thrown for 583 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in a pair of easy victories.
Manning added a rushing score last Saturday against Mississippi State as well. The son of Cooper Manning and nephew of Peyton and Eli, Arch celebrated his start to the season in understated fashion with an Instagram post on Tuesday. "Fun few weeks," Manning wrote in the caption.

According to longtime Texas beat writer Anwar Richardson, Ewers practiced fully Tuesday and is aiming to return to the starting lineup for the Red River Rivalry matchup with Oklahoma on Oct. 12.
"According to multiple sources, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers participated in practice on Tuesday and received the first-team reps," Richardson tweeted Wednesday morning. "I was told, 'Quinn is playing [against Oklahoma]. No way he misses this game or the rest of the season.
He wants to win the SEC and a Natty.'" Sitting at 5-0 entering this week's bye, Texas is currently ranked No. 2 in the AP poll and No.
