Anupamaa has been topping the TRP charts ever since its inception in 2020. The Rajan Shahi-produced show is set to take a time leap now of 15 years. With it, many original cast members will be seen making their exit while fresh faces will join the show.
Recently, Sudhanshu Pandey aka Vanraj and his on-screen wife Madalsa Sharma aka Kavya had announced their exit from Anupamaa. Today, Gaurav Sharma, who had recently replaced Aashish Mehrotra as Toshu, has also announced his decision to move on. Gaurav Sharma quits Anupamaa Actor Manish Naggdev has been finalised as the new Toshu.
He will take over from Gaurav Sharma after the leap. "I feel it’s time to move on. I don’t think I can convincingly play the father of a 21-year-old and can’t afford to take on roles that are older than my actual age.
I remember being typecast in negative roles after playing one, and if I play a father, I might end up being stuck in that age bracket. I shared my concerns with the team and I’m grateful they understood my predicament and accepted my decision. I’ve had a wonderful experience working with the production house and I will definitely miss working with them.
