The Annapolis Songwriters Festival is returning to City Dock and venues around Annapolis for its third year in mid-September. The four-day event is modeled after the Key West Songwriters Festival which has been running for 28 years. The festival will feature nationally known and acclaimed singers and songwriters at ticketed events and free music showcases.

The festival will be held Sept. 12 to 15, according to a Tuesday news release. Kimberly Perry, previously a member of the Grammy-winning country band The Band Perry, will be one of the event’s headliners.

She will take the stage at Rams Head on Sept. 15. Tickets are on sale at annapolissongwritersfestival.

com Concerts will be held at Annapolis locations such as Maryland Hall, Rams Heads OnStage and City Dock. Rams Head in conjunction with Broadcast Music International, the largest music rights organization in the U.S.
