British Olympic diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix has promised "I will be back stronger" after her emotional Olympic loss and candid interview. The 19-year-old, who won bronze alongside Lois Toulson in the women's synchronised 10m platform final last week, narrowly missed out on a second podium finish after ranking sixth place in the women's 10m platform. During an interview after the event, Andrea was very emotional as she explained to the BBC that she wasn't upset with her performance and instead was just grateful to be enjoying the Olympic Games after suffering with her mental health.

Now she has taken to Instagram and in a lengthy post thanked those who supported her and spoken of how she is facing the future. She said: "Alive. Breath in my lungs.

My heart is overflowing. I can't quite put into words how grateful I feel in this moment. The amount of support, encouragement and love is truly overwhelming.

Sure, today wasn't my day, but it doesn't take away the hard work, dedication and achievements of this year...

Today I gained a hunger and fire to want to do more, to push and to work harder. I will be back stronger. That I can tell you for certain.
