Speaking at the Andhra Pradesh-Vietnam Tourism Conclave 2024, held in a Vijayawada hotel, Durgesh highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting Buddhist heritage sites and fostering stronger cultural ties with Vietnam.

Over 200 representatives from both countries attended the conclave, which aims to deepen tourism and cultural exchange between Andhra Pradesh and Vietnam. Minister Durgesh emphasized the state’s rich Buddhist heritage, pointing out its numerous historical sites and pilgrimage destinations. He explained that Andhra Pradesh is home to significant Buddhist landmarks, including the Dhanyakatak (Amaravati), the Mahastupas in Bhattiprolu, and the rock caves in Guntupalli.
