A picturesque Sussex village looks beautiful in spite of the rain and is home to a special window to the past. Pulborough is famed for its quaint high street and pretty buildings but camera club snapper Yvonne Kinasz went off the beaten track for a walk along the River Arun. She got creative with waterproofing and wrapped her phone in a plastic pouch to take photographs of some of her walking group friends were kayaking.

Yvonne also snapped the beautiful bridge is Stopham Bridge, a scheduled ancient monument and Grade I listed building - said to be the finest medieval bridge in Sussex. It is said to have been built in 1423 to replace a 1309 wooden bridge across the River Arun, and the central arch was raised in 1822 to allow masted ships access to the Wey and Arun canal further upriver. Farmland lines the river and kayakers are greeted by livestock including friendly cows at the water's edge.
