Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on August 23, 1941, Amy was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and warmth and was cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Amy completed her early education at Harriton High School in Rosemont, PA, before advancing to Temple University in Philadelphia and Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Her academic pursuits paved the way for a diverse professional journey. During her husband’s tenure in the military, Amy traveled with him throughout the country and in Europe, working at various Defense Department assignments. Following her husband’s retirement, the couple relocated to New York City, where Amy embarked on a successful second career in the fashion industry, working in the executive offices of Calvin Klein and Salvatore Ferragamo while maintaining a second home in Williamsburg.
This allowed the couple to enjoy both the amenities of the city and the tranquility of the Williamsburg area. Beyond her professional achievements, Amy was passionate about the arts, entertainment, history, travel, and animal welfare. Retirement in Williamsburg allowed her more time to indulge in these interests, hosting gatherings for friends and engaging actively with Antique Adventures and continuing education programs at the College of William and Mary.
